Privacy Policy

Overview

DisbandAI is a platform for coordinating pledge signatures by current or former AI-company employees. Users sign in with Google and may submit an employment-offer email for manual verification.

Data We Collect

• Google account email address
• Google profile name
• Verification submission data from Gmail (read-only): message ID, headers, subject, from/to, body, domain metadata, and DMARC-related metadata

Sensitive message-submission fields are encrypted with application-layer encryption before storage.

Google API Data Use

DisbandAI requests Google scopes for Gmail read-only access, basic profile name, and email. Gmail data is used only for eligibility verification and related anti-abuse/admin review functions. We do not use Gmail data for advertising.

How We Use Data

• Authenticate users
• Review and approve/reject verification requests
• Operate visibility controls for signatures
• Maintain system integrity and moderation/admin workflows

Access and Sharing

• Raw verification data is accessible only to administrators.
• By default, signatures are anonymous to other users.
• Users may choose visibility settings to disclose name and/or lab domain.

We do not sell personal data.

Retention

Verification evidence is currently retained indefinitely to preserve auditability and support correction of verification decisions.

Children's Privacy

DisbandAI is not intended for minors. You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to create an account.

Your Choices

You can request deletion by using the account deletion control in your profile.
